About the Project
Since 2021, this center has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education's Curriculum and Instruction Department to implement the "MOE-Certified Teacher Empowerment Curriculum for Gender Equity Education in Senior High Schools." The project aims to help teachers integrate gender equity education into their own subject areas, design capacity-building curricula to enhance teachers' knowledge, and provide policy recommendations to make gender equity education more responsive to practical needs.
Core Challenges
Teachers face heavy lesson preparation burdens, making it difficult to design extra gender equity curriculum content, and they lack clear guidance for integrating gender equity concepts across subjects. The platform addresses this by starting from the classroom perspective, providing concrete and directly applicable resources and strategies — creating a teacher-friendly digital learning platform that makes gender equity education truly take root.
Platform Features
- Embedding Gender Equity: Visuals and text avoid gender stereotypes, providing differentiated learning experiences through diverse roles and stories.
- Meeting Teachers' Needs: Offers a personalized learning dashboard and flexible course recommendation methods.
- Ready-to-Use Teaching Resources: Upon completing a unit, teachers can download A3 resource cards for immediate classroom use.
- In-Depth Interview Design: Direct conversations with high school and vocational school teachers to precisely understand classroom needs.
